Beijing: US hammers Jagla and the Germans 106-57

The rout ends Jagla’s Olympics as the Germans fail to qualify for the medal round. Jagla looked about as good as you can when you lose by 50. Without waiting for the box score, I’d say he had about eight points on about 3-9 shooting (2-6 from beyond the arc), stuffed Dwayne Wade drawing oohs and awes from the crowd when Wade tried to drive on him, and made some nice passes. On the other hand, he floated around the arc too much and was a passive rebounder.

Found a box:
Jagla was 4-10 (2-6) for ten points – second leading scorer for the Germans behind Nowitski’s 14. Also the second leading rebounder with six behind Nowitski’s eight.
